The Powder Magazine is just below Cabot Tower on Signal Hill.
The building has solid stone construction and a slate roof. The sun was out this day after a brutal winter storm, which left knobs of slush all over the slate. The cold of winter sunshine turned the slush into tiny chunks of ice all over the roof.
