Just one gull taking in the business of the early morning at St. John’s harbour. The sun is just over the horizon, hidden behind Signal Hill. The lights of the offshore oil supply vessel are still on, reflecting in the water behind the fishing boat. The stem of the bow on the fishing boat points to the gull and out the Narrows.
To me it all makes a circle – both visually and as a representation of past, present and future.
