Port aux Choix is promontory that juts out into the Gulf of St. Lawrence from the west cost of Newfoundland. Its geographic prominence made it a logical choice for habitation by the Maritime Archaic Indians, 3700 years ago. It is also the right spot for a lighthouse. This outbuilding has a great view of the ocean, but its windows are boarded up in late October.
